A 31-year-old man is being held on $10,000 bond at the Lake County Jail after he allegedly stabbed his girlfriend at The Quarters apartments in Lady Lake.

Randy J. Szymanski is facing a charge of aggravated battery after Lady Lake police were called to The Quarters at 11:05 p.m. Wednesday.

The apartment manager let police into the apartment where they found the victim in the bathroom. She told police that during a verbal argument Szymanski had become so enraged that he had stabbed her in the stomach with a kitchen knife.

Szymanski admitted he had stabbed her, according to the arrest report. He told police that he had stabbed her so that she knew it was “not OK” to call him names, the arrest report indicated.
