Landscaper seriously injured after hit by vehicle on Buena Vista Boulevard

A landscaper suffered serious injuries after he was hit by a vehicle Monday morning on Buena Vista Boulevard.

April Prevatt, 34, had been driving a 2000 Nissan XTerra, at 7:45 a.m. when she was blinded by the sun’s glare at Buena Vista Boulevard and Belle Meade Circle, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol. She failed to see orange cones and struck 56-year-old Willie Porter of Summerfield. He was initially transported to Ocala Regional Medical Center as a trauma alert but was quickly downgraded from that status.
