A landscaper was hit by a car at about 8 a.m. Monday at County Road 466 and Morse Boulevard.
The landscaper, employed by Down To Earth, suffered injuries to his head and arm, according to a spokesman from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.
A vehicle had been headed west on County Road 466. The vehicle entered the southbound turn lane and struck the landscaper.
The landscaper was transported by ambulance from the scene to The Villages Regional Hospital. His injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
A traffic investigator from the sheriff’s office will be conducting followup interviews with witnesses to try to determine who was at fault.
