Lady Lake man jailed after fight with girlfriend over air conditioning

A Lady Lake man was arrested Monday after a dispute with his girlfriend over the air conditioning.

Lady Lake police were called at 9:22 a.m. to a residence in the 600 block of First Avenue. A woman told the police officer her boyfriend had struck her in the face. Lake EMS was summoned to the scene. The woman suffered minor cuts and bruises, according to the arrest report.

She said they had been fighting over the air conditioning unit being turned off.

Justin Freeman, 25, was taken into custody on a charge of battery.

He was previously arrested on a battery charge on Jan. 3, 2012, the arrest report noted.

He was booked at the Lake County Jail on $2,500 bond.

He is due for arraignment April 22 in Lake County Court.
