Jean Perkins, 73, Leesburg, Florida, passed away on January 6, 2016 at Leesburg Regional Medical Center, Leesburg, Florida under the loving care of her family. Mrs. Perkins was born on March 15, 1942 in Detroit, Michigan to her parents Samuel and Lois Whipple. She had worked in the Trucking Industry as a clerical staff member. She had moved to Leesburg 11 years ago from White Lake, Michigan. She had a love for spoiling her grandchildren and had a talent for making beautiful ceramic pieces. She is survived by her loving friend: Mike Glynn of Leesburg, FL; a son: Bob (Kathy) Perkins of Lithia Springs, GA; three brothers: Bud (Darlene) Whipple of Leesburg, FL, David (Julie) Whipple of Imlay City, MI and John (Mickey) Whipple of Milford, MI; four sisters: JoAnn Whipple of White Lake, MI, Donna (Ned) Grover of Good Year, AZ, Beulah (Dick) Perkins of Norfalk, VA and Kay Krenek of Leesburg, FL; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and many-many loving nieces and nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents a sister, Martha McCracken and a brother, Arthur Whipple. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2015 at 3 p.m. at Page-Theus Funeral Home, Leesburg, FL. A Visitation will be held prior to the service at the funeral home from 2 – 3 p.m. In Lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to the charity of one’s choice in her loving memory.
