Intoxicated daughter arrested after allegedly slapping mother at Spanish Springs Town Square

Lydia Grace Kelm

A daughter who was apparently intoxicated was jailed after allegedly slapping her mother early Sunday morning at Spanish Springs Town Square.

Lydia Grace Kelm, 27, of Summerfield, had gotten into an argument with her mother in their vehicle, which was stopped at the intersection of Del Mar Drive and Alonzo Avenue, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department.

Kelm’s mother told police that she came to pick up her daughter, who resides with her, because her daughter was intoxicated, the report said. They got into an argument when Kelm refused to buckle up. The mother stopped the car and Kelm began slapping her.

She was arrested on a charge of battery and booked at the Lake County Jail. Bond was set at $1,000.
