Glens Falls, N.Y. woman arrested after crashing car on State Road 44

A 54-year-old Glens Falls, N.Y. woman was arrested following an accident Thursday night on State Road 44 in Wildwood.

Bernadette McGinnis’ vehicle had run off the road and crashed into a barbed wire fence, according to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol.

McGinnis was arrested on charges of driving under the influence and DUI with property damage. While she was being booked at the Sumter County Detention Center, marijuana and a marijuana pipe were discovered in her purse.

She has also been charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug equipment.

Bond was set at $2,500.
