Elaine Dunning

Elaine Dunning, 90, of Leesburg, Florida, passed away on July 18, 2018 at Cranes View Lodge, Clermont, Florida with her loving family by her side. Elaine was born on September 5, 1927 in the Bronx, New York to her parents Nicholas Burns and Ann (Sheehan) Burns.

She was a former Legal Secretary working in an Attorney’s Office. She originally moved to Hollywood, Florida in 1973 and then in 1993 moved to Leesburg, Florida. She was of the Catholic faith and was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Leesburg, Florida. Her hobbies included painting and ceramics. She enjoyed playing Mahjong with her friends.

She loved her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her loving sons: Gary Garofalo and his wife Ellen of Hollywood, FL and Richard Garofalo and his wife Diana of Irvine, CA; four grandchildren: Gino, Brian, Angie and Vince and four great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date at St. Paul Catholic Church, Leesburg, Florida. She will be interred with her late husband Robert Dunning at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida.
