A woman had to be extricated from her vehicle following an accident at 2 p.m. Monday on County Road 466 at Southern Trace shopping center.
A car was leaving the shopping center and about to pull onto CR466 when it was broadsided by another vehicle. The vehicle that had been broadsided was knocked about 20 to 30 feet down the road.
Both drivers were transported from the scene of the accident by Rural/Metro Ambulance.
The Villages Public Safety Department and the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the scene of the accident.
