Cleaning woman accused of stealing shirt, coat from Belk

A 50-year-old cleaning woman will have to appear Nov. 18 in Lake County Court to answer to a charge that she attempted to steal a coat and shirt from Belk in La Plaza Grande in The Villages.

Claudia S. Angarita of Ocala was arrested Oct. 30 after a review of videotape showed that the day before she took a coat and shirt from the store before it opened for business, according to an incident report from the Lady Lake Police Department.  The coat was valued at $250 and the shirt was valued at $44.

She worked for a company contracted to clean at Belk.

She has no criminal history.
