Cleaning lady accused of stealing jewelry in Village of Lake Deaton

A cleaning lady is accused of stealing jewelry from a home in the Village of Lake Deaton.

Nancy Miller, 61, is accused of taking a blue sapphire gold ring and a gold rope bracelet from a home on Flowersville Place.

She was arrested Friday at SeaBreeze Recreation Center, where she was doing another cleaning job. She was arrested on an unrelated charge of failure to appear. A search of a vehicle turned up the missing jewelry.

She was also found to have coins taken from the victim’s bedroom and Hydrocodone pills, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.

She is also facing felony charges of theft and drug possession. She was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center on $9,000 bond.
