Access to Villages Polo Fields has ‘gone the way of the Buffalo’

District Manager Janet Tutt offered a little insight Friday into the recent decision to close off the Villages Polo Fields for walking and other recreation.

Tutt was asked by Community Development District 3 Supervisor Bill Ray in Friday’s meeting about the status of access to the public at the polo fields.

“Like the Buffalo, the expensive polo horses were being fed and approached,” Tutt said.

It is not a District issue. The private fields are owned by the Developer.

The polo fields remain open to walkers from 7 a.m. to noon each day.

Those hours went into effect on Sept. 29.
