81-year-old snowbird ticketed as result of accident on County Road 466A

An 81-year-old snowbird has been ticketed as the result of a March 1 accident on County Road 466A.

Linda Levy of East Windsor, N.J. was ticketed for running a stop sign in the crash which sent 66-year-old Marilyn Grace Bunker of the Village of St. James to Ocala Regional Medical Center, according to a report released Monday by the Florida Highway Patrol.

A Villager had to be extricated from this vehicle after an accident on County Road 466A.

Levy had attempted at 1:35 p.m. 1 March to leave the parking lot of Walgreens at Colony Plaza and pulled into the path of a silver 2017 Subaru driven by Bunker which was traveling westbound on County Road 466A.

Levy’s red Mazda CX5 was struck in the rear by Bunker’s vehicle, which wound up on its side. The airbag deployed in Bunker’s vehicle.

A New Jersey woman’s vehicle sustained damage in the accident.

Levy was transported by ambulance to The Villages Regional Hospital.
