A trespass notice had been issued to Richard N. Hendricks on July 13, ordering him to stay away from the hotel. Hendricks showed up Tuesday at the Waterfront Inn in defiance of that order.

When a Sumter County sheriff’s deputy arrived on the scene, Hendricks was sitting in his golf cart, holding a copy of the trespass order.

Hendricks has been ordered to stay out of Villages facilities including recreation centers, the town squares, movie theaters and swimming pools. The Town of Lady Lake has also banned him from their facilities.

He was recently arrested on a warrant at a Burger King restaurant in Daytona Beach.

He was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center.
