A 50-year-old man was jailed after allegedly attempting to stab an 18-year-old in Lady Lake.
Mark L. Roberts is facing charges of aggravated assault and simple battery after the incident at about 10 p.m. Wednesday in the 200 block of Brevard Avenue in Lady Lake.
The 18-year-old and his brother had gotten into a verbal dispute with Roberts who went away and then returned with a knife which he began to swing at the younger man, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department.
Roberts, who appeared to be intoxicated, had left the scene of the incident but was located by police in the 200 block of Lady Lake Boulevard.
Roberts was booked at the Lake County Jail on $3,000 bond.
