22-year-old Sumter County man killed in rollover accident

A 22-year-old Sumter County man was killed in a rollover accident early Thursday morning.

Devin M. Dubbs of Bushnell had been at the wheel of a 1997 Mazda B2300 at 12:11 a.m. traveling southbound on County Road 575 when he failed to negotiate a curve, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol.

His vehicle hit traffic signs, overturned and Dubbs was ejected from the vehicle.

He was transported to Bayonet Point Medical Center where he died of injuries suffered in the crash.

The accident report noted that Dubbs had not been wearing a seatbelt and the accident appears to be alcohol related.
